Activating & Deactivating Plugins

< 1 min read

The gw2cc client in itself is extremely lightweight and by default only comes with the bare minimum of features enabled. Most of the functionality is instead provided by so-called plugins that can be activated and deactivated separately from each other. A plugin can also be an assist script you received from a developer.

Plugins are managed in the Settings menu. The Settings menu can be opened by the cogwheel icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. Make sure that you press on gw2cc’s cogwheel icon and not the one from GW2 if you run in attach mode.

To activate or deactivate a plugin, simply toggle the checkmark next to it.

Installing a third-party plugin #

Third-party plugins, for instance a combat assist script, are distributed as .pck files. Simply place the .pck file inside the plugins/ directory for the third-party plugin to show up in the Settings menu. It can then be activated/deactivated as described above.

Important: Make sure that you don’t rename the plugin file!
